Visiting from Home
COVID-19 has taught all of us that businesses need to be prepared for the sort of disasters that prevent people from stopping by in person.
It's one more thing I'll be consulting my more computer-savvy partners on.
This isn't going to be the last pandemic. There may be worse ones in the future.
And even if that's not in my lifetime, I've become more aware of how many people benefit from being able to do things from home... even at the best of times.
Never mind pandemics-- if I'm serious about disability accommodations, this is the direction I'll have to go anyway.
Is there a way I can give people the option of visiting in virtual reality? Perusing the exhibit from home with a webcam? Shopping the gift shop online?
The world is changing, and this change is something I'll need to embrace as soon as I can.
